Stock Talk
Launched 9 Months Ago
Hi, I’m Papa Phil, the founder of a space called Stock Talk. I combine my decades working in Finance, Entrepreneurship & Technology with my passion and curiosity for finding great companies, to make it easier for people to invest or trade.
The sonic boom you heard yesterday evening was the so-called AI “bubble” being popped with a bazooka, not a pin! The AI juggernaut just got a large dose of helium – we are talking one of those 4-foot-tall cylinders of helium.
Oracle announced small misses on the top and bottom for their results in 1st quarter of 2026. The news, however, was all about their contracted backlog which went from $138 billion to $455 billion! The time frame is from June 11th of 2025 to Sept 9th, 2025, less than three months!! OMG!!
The stock was up $80 in afterhours trading at the time of this writing.
How was it done? They are accepting the big AI and data center business from the other members of the Mag 7. Their guidance for their future is strong as well.
I was on the earnings call at 5pm EST with CEO Larry Elison and CFO Safra Katz and the questions from the listening audience… the analysts were stunned! One long term analyst said, “I have been doing this (job) for a long time, and I tell the (whole) team, pay attention to this”. “Even those that are not working on Oracle – because this is a career event happening, right now.” And it is just amazing” “I guess I am really happy for you (Oracle) and congrats on this!” Analysts do not dispense this kind of praise, like ever.
Here is where you can go for the investor news press release.

NVIDIA has done it again. Today, at its AI Infra Summit in Santa Clara, the company announced Rubin CPX, a new kind of processor built for one purpose: letting artificial intelligence handle massive amounts of information at once.
Here’s why that matters.
Right now, AI tools like ChatGPT or generative video apps can only look at a limited amount of information at a time. That’s like asking a lawyer to read two pages of a 500-page contract before giving an opinion. Useful, but not enough. Rubin CPX removes those limits. It allows AI to process millions of tokens, basically, massive chunks of text, code, or video, all at once.
In practice, that means software can go from writing snippets of code to managing entire projects. Video generation can evolve from short clips to full-length films. AI assistants can analyze a company’s history, data, and processes in one sweep. The leap isn’t just about speed; it’s about scale and depth.
For shareholders, the takeaway is simple: Rubin CPX makes AI more valuable.
NVIDIA says companies could generate $5 billion in revenue for every $100 million invested using this platform. Rubin CPX gives enterprises a reason to keep spending billions on NVIDIA hardware. That’s a flywheel shareholders know well.
Think of it this way: graphics chips (NVIDIA’s original claim to fame) powered the gaming boom. Then GPUs became the backbone of AI training, sparking the current wave of generative AI. Now Rubin CPX positions NVIDIA to own the next wave, long-context AI. Each of those waves has meant explosive revenue growth, higher margins, and a stock price that rewards patient holders.
Early partners see the opportunity. Cursor, an AI software company, expects Rubin CPX to supercharge developer productivity. Runway believes it will unlock more cinematic, creator-driven video production. Magic is betting that Rubin CPX enables autonomous AI agents that can handle entire codebases without retraining. These aren’t small tweaks; they’re shifts that expand the market.
And the timing is important. Rubin CPX won’t be widely available until 2026. That gives NVIDIA a runway to lock in customer commitments, expand its developer ecosystem, and, most importantly, build demand before supply even hits. It also signals to the market that NVIDIA isn’t just competing in today’s AI race, it’s defining tomorrows.
As an investor, you don’t need to know how many petaflops or terabytes sit inside a Rubin CPX rack. What you need to know is this: NVIDIA is once again creating a category competitors will have to chase. When the market realizes AI can move from chatbots to managing entire workflows and industries, the spending cycle will begin all over again, with NVIDIA in the center.
That’s the shareholder story.
